Damn Girl
Justin Timberlake
FutureSex/LoveSounds

That's it...with this song I'm no longer ashamed to say that I really like a lot of Justin Timberlake songs. Yes, he may totally rip off Charles Wright and the 103rd Street Watts Band at one point, but it only makes the song better. This song is exactly what we wished Steve & The Gerrys could have been. It's worth the $.99 at iTunes, either that or Soulseek this bitch...Or wait for my best of the year mix, because it will certainly be on it.

Michigan State - Devendra Banhart - Oh Me Oh My... The Way the Day Goes By The Sun Is Setting Dogs Are Dreaming Lovesongs of the Christmas Spirit

As much as that dirty hippie jamfest at Pitchfork turned me away from Devendra, I still gotta say that this album has some of the most beautifully crafted songs I've heard.

Break Up Your Band
Chavez
Gone Glimmering

Godfuckingdamnit! I'm still fuming that these guys cancelled their Chicago reunion show because Matt Sweeney broke his hand. Even though they broke up years ago, they are still making their way higher and higher up my all time favorite bands list. Just watch the video below. It's hilarious.

Ms. Jackson - Outkast - Stankonia

Let's mix this up a bit, shall we? Decided to throw Stankonia on the other day, mainly for Gasoline Dreams and B.O.B., but this is the one that just gets stuck in head.

Sleep Spent
Death Cab For Cutie
Something About Airplanes

This was my first favorite Death Cab For Cutie song, back in my sophomore year of college when my creative writing professor recommended that I check them out. Nothing's better than a band's first album. Especially, when you look back at bands that eventually got really popular and began writing bland, formulaic, radio-friendly pop songs.

feel the pain--------dinosaur jr.

Every band should start one song with the bottle pop sound. This song reminds me of playing guitar in my room in high school.
